What Is Screen Sharing Software And How Is It Used?

The use of screen sharing software gives a user the ability to be in two places at once by allowing them to remotely control a computer from a different location thousands of miles away, or just around the corner. This represents a real problem to traditional IP geolocation because the IP address of the remotely controlled computer is the one being detected. That computer may very well be within a regulated area – but the user accessing it is not.

Once detected, GeoComply can then instruct the users session to be terminated, blocking the user from accessing the site from an unauthorized location.
