The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Engine Engineering team to develop a new generation geolocation platform. This is a high-impact opportunity. As Sr.Engineer in the core team you will participate in the strategic direction of the company and its products. In day-to-day work, you will be working closely with cross-functional teams to migrate existing architecture into scalable microservices in GCP and build new ones that create positive impacts for our customers. At Geocomply, we strongly encourage diving deep into understanding the customer (anti-fraud, geolocation compliance for multiple industries, gaming and media among them) and the technology (GCP/AWS, golang, PHP) and then doing our best by creating a solution. Key Responsibilities
- Be a decision maker on one or several projects from scoping to tech design and to production
- Have an ownership over the Software Engineering process (working with stakeholders to collect requirements, create tech design, drive project forward with a team)
- Lead architecture reviews, code reviews, incident reviews, design discussions, and raise the bar for engineering best practices across teams and departments
- Build microservice architecture using Golang, k8s running on GCP services
- Leadership with mentoring colleagues in Golang and it’s ecosystem, which includes software engineers and QA automation engineers
- Have an ownership over the results delivered (monitoring the results, Operational Excellence, participation in on-call)
- Working cross team with stakeholders including Engineers , DevOps, Engineering Managers, Product Managers and QA
- Contribute to the tech roadmap ideas and vision for the product you will be working on.
Who You Are
- Experience in software engineering role, at least 4 years with demonstrable experience in programming languages
- Experience running and owning golang services in Production
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Strong experience in technical design
- Deep technical expertise, proven technical leadership and technical influence across wide organizations
Bonus Points
- Strong experience with microservices architecture (Golang implementation)
- Advanced usage of AI tools, including patterns of usage such as Cursor, claude code.
- Having experience with high load systems (100k+ Requests per minute)
- Experience with GCP services
- Experience collecting requirements from different stakeholders
- Experience or having domain knowledge in fraud detection, online payment, eCommerce, credit card processing, risk management
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases
Salary Range
- 212000 - 291500 PLN, per-year-salary
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several Global markets. The salary for this position ranges from 212,000/year up to 291,500/year. Pay is based on several factors evaluated throughout the interview, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At GeoComply, our salary bands are crafted with purpose.
