September 15, 2021 (Vancouver, BC)GeoComply Solutions Inc. is proud to announce that Anna Sainsbury, Chairman & Founder at GeoComply, has been named a finalist for the 2021 RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards for the RBC Momentum Award. The RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards are the pre-eminent national business awards recognizing the country’s leading female entrepreneurs. Now in its 29th year, the program is an initiative of Women of Influence, an award-winning organization dedicated to advancing Canadian women.

From a pool of thousands of nominees, 23 Finalists from coast to coast have been selected to represent 7 Award Categories. The RBC Momentum Award is dedicated to a female entrepreneur that is able to adapt to changing market environments and leverage opportunities for continued growth. She has successfully capitalized on opportunities to deliver 10% or more growth, year-over-year for three years or more. Anna Sainsbury is one of 3 Regional Finalists being recognized in this category, representing the Metro Vancouver region.

From managing a coffee shop in North Vancouver to founding a tech unicorn, Anna’s career has been defined by surprising twists and turns. She founded GeoComply in 2011 with a mission to empower the future of digital trust. Under her leadership, the company has grown from a niche solution provider to a global powerhouse in geolocation security. Today, GeoComply helps some of the world’s largest organizations tackle important issues in fraud, data integrity, and federal standards while providing critical information to law enforcement to combat cybercrime and child endangerment.

Along the way, Anna has built a highly diverse and inclusive culture at GeoComply, with half of all senior leadership positions held by women.

“Women entrepreneurship is an area that I’m extremely passionate about so it’s gratifying to be chosen as a finalist for the 2021 RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards,” says Anna. “As a company, I’m proud of the culture we’ve built that empowers women to become successful entrepreneurs and leaders, both inside GeoComply or in other ventures they pursue. And even more importantly, being able to offer a supportive environment for women entering or reentering the workforce, to get that important start on their careers, is immensely gratifying.”

Anna champions other important causes as well, including co-founding a philanthropic organization, Conscious Gaming. The organization utilizes the advanced technology created at GeoComply to propel social responsibility initiatives such as child protection and responsible gambling and other areas where the company’s expertise and resources can make an impact.

The winners will be announced and celebrated at the 29th Annual Awards Gala, on Wednesday, November 17, where all attendees will be once again digitally transported into our Virtual Awards Gala. The evening’s festivities and award ceremony, which will be live streamed around the world, will shine a spotlight on all these amazing Canadian women entrepreneurs.
