An integral function of the accounting manager is to support GeoComply’s regulatory and reporting requirements as a potential US publicly listed company. You will lead a high performing accounting team to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, in accordance with US GAAP and local GAAP for financial reporting purposes and statutory purposes, respectively
  • Prepare variance analysis of actual results vs. prior periods’ results
  • Present monthly and quarterly financial results to the VCO.
  • Provide consolidation supporting working papers to the VCO
  • Continuously improve the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process with a goal of achieving a month end close of 3 business days
  • Establish and enhance processes for internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX
  • Manage all accounting operations, including billing, cash and costs budget management, accounts payable, payroll and monthly accounts reconciliation
  • Support budgeting and forecasting work
  • Coordinate annual audit with local auditors for the VAS financial statements, including preparation of audit working paper
  • Coordinate annual audit with group auditors for the group audit process, including distribution of requirement documents
  • Manage corporate tax compilation and submission in accordance with Vietnamese Accounting Regime and Standards including review and submission of VAT, FCT, PIT, and CIT reports and filings, financial statements on a timely basis
  • Review the payroll calculation according to the labor and related laws and regulations
  • Compile financial reports for management in accordance with policies & procedures
  • Assist VCO with queries and ad hoc requests
  • Be the trusted business partner and support leadership team with information vital to decision-making process on business, accounting, and tax issues
  • Review financial transactions and documents

Who You Are

  • Diploma: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or related fields, 
  • Experience: at least 7 years of progressive experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge in Vietnamese Taxes/Accounting/Payroll/ Bookkeeper
  • Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and relevant accounting systems
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Results and service oriented with an eye for details
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team

  • Experience in working with NetSuite is a plus
  • Ability to multitask, work well in stressful & high-pressure situations
