Attorney General Doug Downey Attends Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

November 9, 2022 (Toronto, Ontario)

On Tuesday, November 8th, GeoComply celebrated opening its newest office in Canada. Responding to the growing demand to support customers in Ontario, GeoComply opened the doors to their new downtown Toronto office and welcomed more than two dozen employees. Ontario’s Attorney General, Doug Downey, joined GeoComply executives and other industry leaders to cut the ribbon officially.

“I am pleased to welcome GeoComply into Ontario’s business community. Innovative cyber-security companies like GeoComply are essential to creating a safe and compliant online gaming market. Establishing legal iGaming has been a pivotal milestone for our government as we work to ensure that Ontario is a world leader in building a secure online gaming environment that meets consumer expectations. As this digital industry continues to thrive, it is exciting to see high-tech companies bringing tangible jobs and benefits to our province,” said the Honorable Doug Downey, Attorney General of Ontario.

GeoComply is one of Canada’s fastest-growing technology companies and earlier this year was named among the “Top 10 Most Innovative Enterprise Companies of 2022” by Fast Company. The new Toronto office joins the company’s other Canadian outposts in Vancouver (headquarters) and Montreal. Currently, 30 employees in the Toronto office will support various functions, including technology compliance, and customer support.

Some Toronto employees have relocated from GeoComply’s office in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Thanks to Canada’s policies that have fast-tracked immigration and work status for Ukrainian refugees, GeoComply has provided these brave individuals and their families with a safe place to work and live.

“This is a landmark moment for our company as we approach 600 staff members globally. We proudly support digital industries, but we cannot do that without boots on the ground,” stated Anna Sainsbury, GeoComply’s CEO and Co-Founder. “Our company seeks top-level talent to fill every role, and we are so impressed with our growing Toronto team. They will drive our mission to instill confidence in every online interaction and deliver leading solutions and services to our customers.”
